Verifying your identity is the number 1 step to a seamless notary appointment. Acceptable forms of ID include: Driver's License, State Identification Card, Passport, U.S. Military ID, an Inmate Identification card issued by the Department of Corrections, amongst others.
The government-issued Identification presented must be valid/unexpired or issued within a 5 years from the day of the appointment. This requirement applies to all notarial services for verification of signature and physical description.

If your government-issued Identification is expired you will need to provide two credible witnesses. A credible witness must provide their own valid/unexpired government-issued identification and must know you personally or have personal knowledge of your identity.

Loan signings can vary in duration as each signing scenario is unique. I plan for each loan signing appointment to take between an 60-90 minutes, but they can also be completed between 45-60 minutes.
